Harvard Business School's Online CORe Program
Because St. Lawrence is a collaborating school with HBS Online, students may take advantage of a special offer for the CORe program this May and June only. This offer will allow SLU students accepted into the program to participate for a fee of $450, with the use of a special promo code, versus the standard fee of $2250. This is for the non-course credit option only. Students may NOT apply for any additional scholarship aid. If you apply for additional aid your application will be denied. Students must apply using their SLU email address to qualify. If a non-SLU email address is used, your application will be denied.
- There are no academic requirements to participate in CORe. The courses are designed to be as inclusive as possible, and the short application is a screen for motivation and aptitude. HBS is looking to see if the student is motivated to complete the program and can articulate why they’re interested.
- Students need to apply to the May or June CORe (only) using their SLU email address. Apply at https://online.hbs.edu/courses/core/.
- May cohort application deadline - May 11; June cohort application deadline - June 15.
- Once the student is notified of their acceptance they will need to log-in using their SLU email address and enter the promo code. The promo code is SummerCORe20.
- Any remaining program fees must be paid at that time with a credit card.

Overview
CORe consists of three courses—Business Analytics, Economics for Managers, and Financial Accounting —and a final exam. Immerse yourself in real challenges faced by seasoned leaders across a variety of industries, develop business intuition through interactive learning exercises, and join a global community of peers. As in the business world, you’ll be evaluated on the quality and timeliness of your work and your contributions to the learning community.
CORe brings the dynamism of the HBS classroom to online learning. Videos, animations, and interactive learning tools combine to deliver a fun and active learning experience. You won’t find lectures in CORe. You will engage with a different activity approximately every three
minutes—all purposefully designed to help you learn more.
Our social learning platform connects you to a supportive global network of fellow participants— representing over 100 countries—who engage actively in online discussions, shared insights, and peer feedback.
Like HBS classes on campus, HBS Online learning is case-based. You will hear firsthand from an executive or entrepreneur describing the context of a business situation, and then step into their shoes and make recommendations.

Business Analytics: Use statistical analysis to answer real business problems.
Economics for Managers: Apply economic principles to business decision making
Financial Accounting: Learn how to build and interpret financial statements
